Our Story

Bridging Anteaters Mentorship Program (BAMP) was formed in 2014 by the 2014-2015 UCI XIV Dalai Lama Scholar, Kathy Dong. BAMP's formation was supported by the UCI XIV Dalai Lama Endowed Scholarship and the Dalai Lama Fellows. The program endeavors to build a bridge between high school students and UC Irvine undergraduates, aiming to encourage students to create social change in the local and UCI community.

Since 2014, BAMP has served Los Amigos High School (formerly) and Westminster High School by providing workshops and resources for the school community under our four pillars of: identity exploration, leadership, diversity, and perseverance.
